Frequently Asked Questions
Do you have an office within the Port of Motril or Marina del Este?
At each of our ports, we have a designated meeting point where we will hand over the car to you upon disembarkation. You will receive the exact instructions, location and details on how to find us in your booking confirmation email, and these are also set out in detail on the specific page for each port.
Can I collect the car when I disembark from a cruise ship or when I moor my boat?
Yes, that is exactly the service we offer at ports. When making your booking, select the Port of Motril or Marina del Este as your pick-up point and specify the time you expect to disembark. It is important that you are in the collection area at the time specified in your booking, as this is the reference we use to coordinate the car handover.
What do I need to collect the car?
We will ask for the main driver’s ID card or passport, their physical driving licence and at least one year’s driving experience (for non-EU drivers, accompanied by an international driving permit where applicable), the booking reference you receive by email, and a credit card as a security deposit. If you do not have a credit card and only have a debit card, we will arrange the security deposit as a €350 cash deposit, which will be released when you return the car. The minimum age to drive with BayGo is 21.
Can I pick up at a port and return to an office (or vice versa)?
Yes, that’s what we call ‘one-way hire’: you pick up the vehicle at one of our locations and return it at another, whether that’s between ports, between offices, or a combination of both. It’s free for hire periods of 7 days or more, and a fixed charge of €30 applies for hire periods of less than a week.
