What you need to collect your car
At BayGo, we like to make pick-up quick and hassle-free, whether you come to our office in Almuñécar or we deliver the car to your hotel or campsite. That’s why, before you leave home, it’s a good idea to sort out a couple of things so that everything is ready when we meet.
The essential documents you need to bring are the main driver’s ID card or passport and their physical driving licence, provided they have at least one year’s driving experience. If you’re coming from outside the European Union, we recommend checking whether your country also requires an international driving permit. Don’t forget your booking reference number, which you’ll receive by email once your booking is confirmed.
We will require a credit card as a security deposit. It does not have to be in the main driver’s name, but the cardholder must be present at the time of collection. If you do not have a credit card and only have a debit card, we will process the security deposit as a €350 cash deposit, which will be refunded when you return the car. To drive with BayGo, you simply need to be at least 21 years old.

Yes, of course it’s possible. If you pop into the office during our normal opening hours and we have the category you’re looking for in stock, we’ll hand over the car to you straight away. That said, we do recommend that you always book in advance to secure the vehicle you need – especially during the high season – and to benefit from a fixed price right from the start.
Is there a car park near the office?
We have dedicated parking spaces at the office for vehicle drop-off and collection, so you won’t have to drive round looking for a space.
If all our spaces are full when you return the car, you can park nearby. Please note that during Easter, July and August, parking in the area is regulated and subject to charges during certain times of the day, so it’s best to plan ahead if you’re visiting during these periods.
What happens if I arrive outside office hours?
Collections and returns at the Almuñécar office are only accepted during our normal opening hours.
If, for any reason, you expect to arrive outside these hours, please let us know as soon as possible: with this information, we can reschedule your booking or find the best alternative to ensure your car is ready when you need it.
Can I return the car at Málaga Airport if I pick it up in Almuñécar?
Yes, and it’s one of the most common scenarios: returning the car at the airport on the day of your flight saves you the journey back to Almuñécar. We call this a one-way service, and it’s also available between our other branches. It’s free for hire periods of 7 days or more, and a fixed charge of €30 applies for hire periods of less than a week.
